I'll be waiting to hear how you do the last announcement: "And the Region 2 Single A winner is… South Harrison!" I could hear it myself as I read the story.
Point of view: The point of view and purpose appears to be very clear throughout your story. It is being told from your own personal point of view and the purpose is to reveal your childhood dream and passion for cheerleading. Dramatic Question: Does the squad have what it takes to overcome the stigma and advance and reach their competition goal. The sequence leading up to the competition is spot on and holds attention well. The question is also answered in the end of the story bringing a courageous end to a hard fought and well deserved competition. Emotional Content: Will the squad prevail? Does the squad has what it takes to succeed? I feel that viewers can and will connect to this in a personal way as even if they are not and have not been involved with cheerleading; they can relate it to multiple situations where one has overcome stigma and odds with determination and hard work. It adds to the emotional content and keeps the viewer on pace with your story line.
