My PSA is geared toward teenagers who post things on social media. I want teenagers to take things into consideration before hitting the send button. The best persuasive technique for this PSA is emotional appeal. Teens can relate to my PSA and hopefully it will make them think before they post.
I like the catchphrase you employ: "Typed Out Loud." Talking to kids about social media appropriateness is an important family issue. Recently one of the tech folk at my school shed some light on to why parents feel so disconnected from kids' technology use. When the parents were young, technology was still developing, and THEIR parents/teachers often told them not to touch things like computers for fear the kids would break them. I had never considered this before, but thinking back, it makes sense. Families need to get past the discomfort and talk about it.

ReplyDeleteThe message you are trying to get through to viewers is very explicit! I love how you have chosen to use/display facts, on each progression! This is very intriguing and I feel that it will keep viewer’s attention. The graphics of the social media sites and the SELFIE STICK are also a great attention catcher as well! What teen doesn’t have a selfie stick..or wish they had one!? I thin your PSA will be great! Can’t wait to see the finished product!
